As manufacturing continues to grow in the United States and organizations such as Amazon and Apple start to look inwards instead of outwards fo manufacturing help, it’s time to start thinking what makes a good manufacturing employee.

Manufacturing employees used to be a dime a dozen as many manufacturers used to hire just about anyone…but as time’s progressed, more and more people look for the following skills in a manufacturing employee.

Strong Communicator. Manufacturing employees need to be able to communicate strongly and clearly to each other as they work together to build supplies in mass quality.

Dependability. When working on the manufacturing level, customers will need to have the ability to work independently and operationally to get projects done.

Attention to Detail. Manufacturing employees whether they are Quality Testers or working as an Engineer need an attention to detail that will allow them to help build their products.

Ability to Cross Train. Unless you’re a drone you’re going to want to have the ability to cross train into a number of different positions, that will help you grow your skills and allow you train.

Do you have these skills? Maybe you’d make a great manufacturer.
