2020 Manufacturing Education Update

09/28/2020 |

We can all talk about how much 2020 has taken a toll on many of us but one thing that it’s for sure that has changed is how we view education and the impact it’s had on students of all ages.

For people who are still trying to figure out how they are going to handle their continued education, they are faced with many decisions that they never had to deal with before. Should they continue to go to school or stay out? Should they try online school or just forget it altogether? The concept of education after high school has never been challenged like it has been today.

For those pursuing a career in manufacturing, the concept of school is something that many people are juggling, An industry that asks for more education than ever before, the Manufacturing industry now asks for people entering it to have some form of secondary education which is now tougher than ever to receive.

The Current State of Manufacturing Education

Manufacturing has definitely changed but depending where you are in the country some do believe manufacturing is continuing to be in high gear and many companies are actually investing in it.

Yes, there was a slow down a few months ago, but manufacturing has weathered the storm and many manufacturers are looking to hire right now as they begin to rebound across the nation.

Investing is happening in education manufacturing despite the setbacks. The State of Vermont is investing $8 million dollars into education reimbursements for local area schools and Toyota’s North America Division is investing in remote education for their employees right now. Companies are now starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and they are putting their money into education.

The ability is there to learn and grow right now. You just have to look for the right opportunities.
