Great news for those in the Raleigh staffing industry. As jobs in the United States are on the rise, one sector is really booming. The services industry is among the most expansive. Last month, jobs including retailers, builders, and health care providers all showed encouraging expansion and hiring.
In October, private payrolls added 230,000 jobs, which was the second highest gain this year. Professional and business services added the most jobs with 53,000, followed by trade/transportation/utilities with 47,000, and 28,000 in the construction industry.
The job market is increasing and has continued to trend upward in the 4th quarter of 2014. Numbers came in higher than economists were expecting. October also had the highest manufacturing index of 59 (anything over 50 shows growth) and production gauge was the showing the strongest it has in ten years.
As unemployment numbers continue to drop, and jobs continue to be added, economists anticipate that the job market will be stable enough for meaningful wage growth as well. Most growth is coming from small to mid-sized companies (less than 500 employees). Employers and job seekers both are hopeful with the recent boom in the job market and look forward to continued growth.
